Whom We Sell To
Carolina Chemical offers its products for sale to businesses, laboratories, university students, medical doctors, governmental agencies, educational institutions, individual professionals, analytical chemists, industrial manufacturers, contractors, life science researchers, medicinal chemistry teams, and drug discovery specialists domestically and internationally.
Pricing & Quotations
Prices on our online catalog reflect current domestic availability. Full drum, pallet, and bulk IBC tote quantities qualify for tiered volume pricing, which can be obtained directly by contacting our sales desk. Pricing is structured based on volume per order and annual supply contracts.
Placing an Order
Standard research quantities can be requested and ordered directly through our sales desk or website. For bulk orders, custom packaging, or commercial contract schedules, please contact us directly:
Payment & Terms
Carolina Chemical requires payment of the purchase price at the time of order placement for all standard commercial and research purchases.
Accepted Payment Methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and commercial Wire Transfer / ACH payments.
Shipment & Dispatch
Carolina Chemical ships most orders via FedEx Ground or preferred carrier. Tracking numbers are transmitted via email immediately upon dispatch.
Same-Day / Next-Day Dispatch
Most standard orders ship same-day or next-day if payment and verification are confirmed by 3:00 PM EST Monday – Friday (excluding holidays).
Bulk & LTL Freight: Bulk drum and tote quantities require calculated LTL freight quotes prior to departure. Any redelivery charges assessed by LTL carriers due to recipient unavailability are billed to the customer.
Failed Delivery Policy: If a shipment is returned to our facility due to failure to accept delivery (unavailable recipient, refused delivery, or undeliverable address), a refund will be issued for the product cost only. Outbound and return shipping fees, taxes, and carrier surcharges are non-refundable. Reshipment requires payment of replacement freight and return carriage expenses.
Hazardous Materials Handling (DOT 49 CFR)
Certain chemical substances may be toxic, corrosive, oxidizers, flammable, or otherwise hazardous. All products must be handled exclusively by qualified personnel equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and facilities.
UN Performance-Oriented Packaging (UN POP)
All hazardous materials are packaged, labeled, and marked in strict accordance with Department of Transportation regulations under 49 CFR. Our distribution personnel are certified under 49 CFR 172.704 to handle and dispatch regulated hazardous materials.
Regulatory & Security Verification
Due to the sensitive nature of certain regulated precursors and high-purity active compounds, Carolina Chemical may require customer verification prior to order release. This may include validation of business licenses, corporate registration, tax IDs, or government photo identification. If requested, documentation must be supplied within 5 business days, otherwise orders will be canceled and refunded in full.
International Orders
International purchasers must consult customer service prior to placing orders. International buyers bear sole responsibility for knowing and complying with the import, customs, and clearance laws of their destination country. Carolina Chemical is not responsible for international customs delays, tariffs, duties, or government confiscations.
Unopened and undamaged returned international goods receive a product-only refund minus freight expenses. Goods opened or tampered with by foreign customs carry a 50% restocking fee.
Taxes & Tax Exemption
Catalog prices include applicable standard sales taxes unless shipping to states requiring point-of-sale assessment. Bulk contracts exclude tax at base price; tax is added at invoice unless a valid, signed Tax Exemption Certificate for the receiving jurisdiction is provided on file.
